Arthur Buck – Are You Electrified?
Anything that involves a former member of R.E.M. piques our interest. Arthur Buck is Joseph Arthur and Peter Buck, and this is their second track together. Nice ’90s Rock throwback vibe to it, we want more
Alice In Chains – The One You Know
This is the first new music in five years from the legendary grunge-metal merchants. Much like in the case of Stone Temple Pilots, it’s never easy to step into the shoes of an iconic frontman, but William DuVall has done so with aplomb since 2006. No word on the new album yet, but this’ll do nicely for now
Leon Bridges – Forgive You
We were big fans of his debut album, which sounded effortlessly like the classic Soul music of the 1960s. Leon has updated his sound for the second album Good Thing, and ‘Forgive You’ is our favourite track on it
Ash – Annabel
Back to their power-pop best, this is the newest taster from the upcoming album Islands, which will be with us on the 18th of this month
New Album Of The Week:
Gaz Coombes – World’s Strongest Man
Gaz’ follow-up to 2015’s exquisite Matador confirms his way with a melody remains in rude health. Our favourite tracks on this LP are the title song, ‘Walk The Walk’ and ‘Oxegen Mask’.
